GreenZameen is proud to announce another expansion milestone: the launch of our Fellowship Chapter in Peshawar! This move brings our proven curriculum of climate education and leadership training to the vibrant youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Why Peshawar?
Peshawar is a city with rich history but faces modern environmental challenges, including air quality issues and rapid urbanization. The youth of KP have shown immense resilience and eagerness to engage in civic issues, making it the perfect ground for our fellowship.
Inaugural Session
The inaugural session was held at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar, attended by over 40 selected fellows. The curriculum has been adapted to address local context, including:
- Climate resilience in the context of recurring floods in the region.
- Sustainable tourism practices for the northern areas.
- Community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR).
We are excited to see the innovative solutions that will emerge from our Peshawar cohort as they apply their learning to benefit their local communities.
